About Herbertsons Bangladesh Ltd.
Our story, our people, and the institutional principles that guide our operations under the National Board of Revenue framework.
How We Began
Herbertsons traces its roots to 1947, when it was established in undivided India as Herbertsons Limited, under the Anglo-Thai Corporation Limited group of England. Following Partition the company was re-styled Herbertsons (Pakistan) Limited, and after the Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 it took its present name — Herbertsons Bangladesh Limited, Chittagong.
Over the following decades the group's activities diversified well beyond its original bonded-warehouse business, extending into petroleum services, clearing & forwarding, indenting & shipping agency work, and ship survey, alongside stockist and agency arrangements for a range of international manufacturers. Affiliated concerns established over the years included Khairunnessa Corporation (originally nuts, bolts and wooden/machine screws, later garments and garment accessories alongside a duty-free bonded warehouse), the BEPZA Commissariat duty-free shop serving foreign personnel in the Chittagong CEPZ, Balaka International (an IATA- and Biman-approved travel agency), Gestetner Bangladesh Limited (Chittagong, Dhaka and Khulna offices, representing Gestetner/DAITO copiers), and Chittagong Board Mills Ltd.
Today, Herbertsons Bangladesh Limited (CEPZ Branch) continues this long institutional history with a renewed focus on its core licensed activity — a diplomatic bonded warehouse operating under National Board of Revenue oversight — serving diplomatic missions, international organizations, and other eligible customers with integrity, regulatory compliance, and dependable service.
"Our mission is to provide reliable, compliant, and efficient bonded warehousing, customs, and trade-related services while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. We are committed to building lasting relationships with our clients and partners, supporting Bangladesh’s international trade ecosystem, and continuously improving our operations through responsible business practices, regulatory compliance, and service excellence."
This website is operated by a licensed private bonded warehouse entity. It does not represent, impersonate, or act on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh or any regulatory authority. All content is informational only.
